Do you have a lot of campaigns in your account? Would you like to group them based on similar characteristics? Read on and learn how to use the filter option to group them fast and efficiently. At the same time, you can create new Performance Groups that contain campaigns with similar characteristics.

Dividing campaigns into multiple Performance Groups is especially useful after the learning phase is over (first 2-3 weeks with Adspert). In the beginning, it is strongly recommended to put all the campaigns in one Performance Group and let the optimization run for 2-3 weeks. After the learning phase, the algorithm collects enough data about the campaigns. Then you can reorganize them into multiple Performance Groups based on similar characteristics.

Here is where the filter option comes in handy. You can filter campaigns based on various characteristics and, at the same time, create corresponding Performance Groups.

Filter examples to get campaign groups with similar characteristics:

Number of Conversions

  • Campaign types

  • ACoS values

  • Costs

  • Campaigns status

  • And much more

Examples of dividing campaigns into multiple Performance Groups based on strategy and business objectives:

Example 2

Use the filter option to create a Performance Group containing campaigns with similar characteristics:

  1. Click “Control” from the main navigation bar and choose “Goals” from the drop-down menu. Open a Performance Group and click “Add filter”.

2. Various filter options appear.

3. In this example, we want to get a list of campaigns of the same type.

Choose the filter “Campaign Type”.

4. A list of detailed filter options appears.

Choose your preferred option and click “Apply”. The list shows the campaigns corresponding to the set filter (Amazon Sponsored Products in this case).

Note: You can add as many filters as you would like and combine them to narrow down the selection.

5 Filtering is finished, and it is time to create a Performance Group containing all campaigns with similar characteristics. Click “Select all” and click “Movie Campaign”

6. Click “Create a Performance Group”

7. Name the Performance Group

The next step is to set a new goal or adjust an existing goal. Read this article about reviewing goal settings.
