Creating a Performance Group is a crucial step in using Adspert. Before Adspert can start optimizing your campaigns, you need to create at least one Performance Group, assign campaigns to it and set a goal. You can also create new Performance Groups at any other point.

There are many different ways to create a new Performance Group. This article presents two most common options:

  • Option 1: Create a new Performance Group from the Goals page

  • Option 2: Create a Performance Group for non-optimized campaigns

Option 1: Create a new Performance Group from the Goals page

Choose “Control” from the main navigation bar and select “Goals” from the drop-down list. Click “Create a New Performance Group” button on the right.

Then follow the steps described here: Start Adspert Optimization: Step-By-Step Guide. This article is especially useful for those who just started with Adspert and have not yet created a Performance Group. In any case, this way of Performance Group creation works for beginners and experienced users alike.

Option 2: Create a Performance Group for non-optimized campaigns

Use this option when you would like to assign all non-optimized active campaigns to a single new Performance Group.

Tip: If you want to individually manage a single campaign in one Performance Group, follow the steps described in this article How to individually manage a single campaign?

  1. Choose “Control” from the main navigation bar and select “Goals” from the drop-down list. Click “Non optimized active campaigns”.

2. A new window opens with a list of non-optimized active campaigns on the left. Select the campaigns you want to add to the new Performance Group. They will move to the right under “Selected Campaigns”. Click “Add Selected Campaigns to a new Performance Group”

Tip: If you would rather divide the non-optimized active campaigns to multiple Performance Groups, read this article about best practices on How to filter campaigns within a Performance Group & create new Performance Groups.

3.Name your new Performance Group and click “Next”.

4.Scenario pages open with an indication of different goal settings and their expected outcomes for the campaigns. The recommended goal is highlighted with yellow. Choose a goal and click “Set as Performance Group” goal. To find out more about goals and how to adjust and review them, read this article.

5. Review the selected goal and click “Set as Performance Group goal”.

6. Check once more if the goal is set correctly. Click “Confirm”.
