Campaigns are usually managed together towards one goal within one Performance Group. In some cases, it is necessary to manage a single campaign and set a specific goal just for that one campaign. To individually manage a single campaign, create a separate Performance Group and set the specific goal you would like to reach for that one campaign.

There are three possible initial situations. Check the list and see which one applies to the campaign you would like to manage individually. Scroll down and find instructions related to each initial situation:

  • Initial situation 1: Campaign is in an existing Performance Group. You want to set an individual goal for your campaign.

  • Initial situation 2: Campaign is currently not being optimized and is therefore not in an existing Performance Group. You want to set an individual goal for your campaign.

  • Initial situation 3: Create a new Performance Group. Choose the campaign that you would like to individually manage from the list or all active campaigns.

Initial situation 1: Campaign is in an existing Performance Group. You want to set an individual goal for your campaign.

  1. Click “Control” from the main navigation bar and select “Goals” from the drop-down menu to get the Performance Group overview. Find the Performance Group that contains the campaign you wish to individually manage. Click the tag "x Campaigns".

2. The campaign manager opens up with an overview of all campaigns within the chosen Performance Group.

3. Select the campaign that you want to manage individually and set a specific goal. Then click "Move Campaigns".

4. When moving a campaign or also more than one campaign Adspert automatically creates the option of adding this to a new created Performance Group and it automatically allocates it. It is named automatically "New Performance Group".

You see the Current KPIs of the campaign(s) summarized in the new Performance Group referring to the date that was set up in your Goals page.

Click next to review/ adjust the goal of the the Goal for Source PG.

To get further info on how to adjust your goals please read this article.

After reviewing your goal click "Save".

Again you will get a summary of your Source Performance Group and you have the chance to edit your data again as in like, name of your Performance Group, the campaigns that it contains now after moving one or more campaigns and the goal setting. All changes can be made easily by just click on edit on the right side.

Once you are happy with your setting click "Next".

You now can review the settings of your newly created Performance Group which is the Destination Performance Group.

Here you can adjust again

  • Name of the Performance Group

  • Which campaign contains the new PG (in this case its only one)

  • Goal setting

To make sure you know how to adjust the Performance Group and review the goal setting please read this article. Keep in mind when creating a new Performance Group the only available goal option is the maximize sales goal with a daily cost limit. Read more information about this here .

Click "Save" once you are happy with your settings.

Submit your new Performance Group. Click "Submit".

You will get again into the campaign manager of the source Performance Group. Quit the manager by clicking the x in the upper right corner and you will get back to the goals page and you see your newly created Performance Group which contains only one single campaign.

Initial situation 2: Campaign is currently not being optimized and is therefore not in an existing Performance Group. You want to set an individual goal for your campaign.

1. Click “Control” from the main navigation bar and select “Goals”. All campaigns that are currently not being optimized, are directly accessible through the yellow banner on top - click "Show Campaigns". Or in case you have dismissed the yellow banner before you will see the clickable option "non optimized active campaigns".

2. A new window opens up with an overview of all campaigns that are currently not being optimized and are not assigned to any Performance Group.

3. Select the campaign that you want to manage individually by clicking into them and click "Next"

4. Similar as described in point number 4 above in this article of situation 1 Adspert automatically creates the option of adding this to a new created Performance Group and it automatically allocates it. It is named automatically "New Performance Group".

You see the Current KPIs of the campaign(s) summarized in the new Performance Group referring to the date that was set up in your Goals page.

Click into it and click "Next" to get to the Performance Group settings.

5. You can edit basic information as Name, currency or also edit the containing campaign and the goal setting which was made automatically. You just click into the fields or click on edit to do the desired changes.

Remember when creating a new Performance Group the only available goal is the maximizing sales goal. The goal value is been set automatically by the historic value of the campaign within the last 30 days. To know more about that have a look in to the article how to create a new Performance Group.
