As part of our commitment to serve you better, we are releasing new usability improvements.

All of your functionality will remain exactly the same, just with a few small tweaks to help you better manage your preferences and give you more control.

Here’s a quick overview what you can expect to change.👇

Pave Your Way to TACoS and Organic Sales: Grant Access to Your Retail Accounts

We have been working hard towards introducing much-requested TACoS and information about your organic sales as account-level metrics to help you achieve greater optimization efficiency. Hold your horses – the release is planned for 2024.

Why am I telling you this? Because while we are hewing a raw idea into a polished, final form, there is something you can do now to guarantee full access to the new metrics as soon as they become available: grant access to your retail accounts.

By connecting your retail accounts with Adspert, you enable our advanced AI to do all the groundwork for the upcoming metrics.

Want to secure your access to the metrics as soon as they are available? Grant access to your retail accounts now. It’s free (and super fast).

How Can I Grant Access to Retail Accounts?

  1. Log in to Adspert > Main navigation bar - click your profile icon

  2. Select Adspert Account Settings > click tab "Manage Retail Accounts"

  3. Click “Grant Access

Which Platforms Support Retail Access?

  • Amazon Ads: Only Amazon Seller accounts, not Amazon Vendors and KDP

  • eBay Ads, Google Ads and Microsoft Ads: No support

Settings Become Optimization Settings

We are currently rolling out a top-to-bottom redesign of our Settings page to deliver a more intuitive, clean experience with additional options.

New Optimization Settings bring you:

  • Cross-platform management – all your accounts are displayed on one page

  • Embedded logics – page itself guides you through available options based on your advertising platform limitations or Adspert plan

  • Global selectors – quickly filter your view by accounts, Performance Groups and campaigns

  • Settings log – a separate log dedicated to your optimization settings for full transparency

  • Two tabs with more settings – Accounts and Campaigns

Accounts Tab - View Your Defaults:

  • Conversion Value Type Default – Defines how Adspert interprets the value of your conversion (revenue, gross profit, click), influencing your campaigns' optimization type.

  • Conversion Value Source Default – Specifies where the conversion value is obtained – from the advertising platform, via the product feed, or by considering manual values/adjustments.

  • Product Feed (Enterprise plan only)

In most cases, the Accounts tab is view-only.

The few exceptions are:

  • Amazon Ads: Users with an Enterprise plan AND an active Product Feed set up

  • Google Ads and Microsoft Ads: If the account has no conversions, it's set to “Click” and cannot be changed, not on account, nor on campaign level. Once there are enough conversions, Adspert allows the change to other values.

I will now explain the second tab of Optimization Settings, “Campaign”, in the context of Campaign Max Bid.

Introducing Campaign Max Bid

In October, we introduced the Max Bid on the Performance Group level to give you more control. Now, we are extending your safety net to the lower, Campaign level!

How is Campaign Max Bid different from Performance Group Max Bid?

  • Campaign Max Bid is superior to Performance Group Max Bid and always overrides it.

  • This adds an extra layer of safety and helps you reduce the risk of overspending.

Practical example:

If a campaign has a set campaign Max Bid, it doesn't matter which Performance Group it is in. Adspert always follows the campaign Max Bid, ignoring any Max Bid set at the Performance Group level.

This applies even if you move the campaign to a different Performance Group; the campaign Max Bid still holds.

Where can I set Max Bid for my campaigns?

  1. Log in to Adspert > Go to Control > Optimization Settings > select the Campaigns tab

  2. Choose the campaign(s) for which you want to set the Max Bid

  3. Navigate to the Max Bid column > enter the desired Max Bid in the box

What about other options in the Optimization Settings > Campaigns tab?

The remaining options on the Campaigns tab are dedicated to conversion settings:

  • Conversion Value Type (default setting is “Revenue”)

  • Conversion Value Source (default setting is “Platform”)

  • Correction Factor (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising only, expressed as a percentage %)

  • Manual Value (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising only, expressed in your account’s currency)

Notifications Usability Upgrades

Building on your feedback, we have upgraded the Notifications to improve usability. Less and more relevant notifications help you react faster and boost efficiency:

  • Revamped layout – better clarity (“Critical” notifications placed at the top, followed by “Warnings”, and “Info” at the bottom)

  • Integrated autoresolve – Notifications page now only shows the latest updates instead of keeping them all listed and organized by date

ROAS and ROI: Expressed As a Ratio

The ROAS and ROI values remain unchanged. The only difference is in the formatting: they used to be percentages; now, they are expressed as ratios.

Why? To align the presentation of these two metrics with industry-wide trends and help you more easily compare data across numerous tools.

🛠️ Small Changes = Huge Impact

This Adspert update brings small yet important changes for usability, including a fully redesigned Settings page and upgraded Notifications.

By granting access to your retail accounts, you can pave your way to get TACoS and information about your organic sales as metrics as soon as they are available (planned for 2024).

We have expanded the Max Bid feature from Performance Group to a lower, campaign level to give you even more control and further reduce the risk of overspending.

That’s all for now but keep an eye out for more exciting updates coming up in 2024!
