Technically, yes — it is possible to manually change a bid that Adspert has set. However, we strongly discourage doing so, and here's why:
Why manual changes are not recommended
Adspert calculates bidding values based on a wide range of factors, including performance history, your defined goals, the market situation, and the structure of your Performance Group. These calculations are designed to maximize results based on the optimization strategy you've chosen.
If you manually change a bid, Adspert won’t recognize the reason behind that change. It will simply detect a different value than what it originally calculated.
As a result, during the next optimization cycle, Adspert will recalculate the optimal bid based on current performance data and market conditions, overriding your manual input and resetting the bid to the value determined by its algorithmic calculation.
This means any manual changes you make will not have a lasting effect and might even disrupt the optimization process temporarily.
What to do instead
If you’re not satisfied with how Adspert is bidding:
Review your goal settings: Make sure your goals reflect what you truly want to optimize for.
Check your Performance Group: Its setup strongly influences bidding decisions. Learn more in our article: How does the dynamic within a Performance Group work.
Understand how the algorithm works: The logic behind Adspert's bidding strategy is explained in detail here: About Adspert's Algorithm.
By adjusting your goals or the structure of your campaigns rather than the bids themselves, you’ll get better, longer-lasting results — all while still leveraging the power of Adspert's automation.
