Bidding Strategy Changed on Platform

This article explains the “Bidding strategy changed on platform” alert and what it means for your campaigns.

What this alert means

This alert appears when the bidding strategy of one or more campaigns has been changed directly in the native advertising platform.

Alert description:

The bidding strategy of your advertising account(s) has changed on the platform. Ensure the Adspert bidding strategy settings are not altered (manually or automatically).

Why it occurs

This alert is triggered when a campaign’s bidding strategy is switched to a different type within the native advertising platform.

Sometimes Adspert may suggest changes that affect bidding behavior — for example, a suggestion like Adjust campaign bidding strategy to Down Only in Amazon Ads. If such a change is applied, it happens only after user confirmation.

However, manual changes made directly on the advertising platform (outside of Adspert) can interfere with Adspert’s optimization logic and lead to inconsistent performance.

What you should do

To ensure stable optimization results, avoid changing the bidding strategy directly on the advertising platform.

If you wish to influence how Adspert optimizes your campaigns, adjust your goal within Adspert instead.
