How to identify outdated and replace outdated Sponsored Brands campaigns (2 steps)
To keep optimizing your Sponsored Brands campaigns, first identify which of your Sponsored Brands campaigns are outdated (were created before October 2022). Then, create new Sponsored Brands campaigns that will replace the outdated ones.
Here's how you can do it in two steps.
Step 1: Identify outdated Sponsored Brands campaigns:
1. Log in to Amazon Ads Console > Go to Campaign Manager
2. Click 'Filter by' > Select 'Type'
3. Select ‘Sponsored Brands’
4. Click 'Start date' (to bring the oldest campaigns to the top). The arrow has to point up!
5. Collect all Sponsored Brands campaigns that were created before October 2022. Now you have a list of outdated Sponsored Brands campaigns that you should replace, pause or archive before 31 January 2025.
Step 2: create new Sponsored Brands campaigns (to replace outdated ones)
1. After identifying outdated SB campaigns (created before October 2022), create new Sponsored Brands campaigns that will replace the outdated campaigns.
Please note: you have to create a separate new Sponsored Brands campaign to replace an individual outdated Sponsored Brands campaign.
Don’t worry—creating new campaigns is straightforward and ensures your advertising efforts stay on track with the latest tools and optimizations.
2. Pause or archive all outdated SB campaigns latest by 31 January 2025.
Pro Tip: You can set up your new campaigns first and gradually pause the old ones to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption to performance.
Practical example:
You have 5 outdated campaigns. Create 5 new campaigns to replace them.
Once the new campaigns are live, pause or archive the old ones before the 31 January 2025 deadline.
