In this article, I will show you how to resolve the Criterion Hub warning "The destination is nearly at its criterion limit."

This warning can appear in Criterion Hub on your Suggestions Review table when you are reviewing criteria suggested by Adspert for your advertising campaigns.

It means your ad group is close to its maximum of 1000 criteria. This limit is set by Amazon (and not Adspert) and you can't add more criteria once the limit is reached.

Why Does Amazon Impose This Limit?

Amazon limits the number of criteria for ad groups to keep them effective and avoid overcrowding. This ensures ads work well and remain relevant to users.

Step 1: Identify the Warning

Hover over the orange exclamation mark in the “Destination” column. In this case it should read “The destination is nearly at its criterion limit”.

If this checks out, proceed to the next step.

If not, check the Help Center for instructions to solve another warning type. If you can’t find what you’re looking for contact us via chat.

Step 2

Option 1: Create Space in Affected Ad Groups

  • Go directly to your advertising platform.

  • Make space within your ad groups that are affected by this issue by deleting/archiving criteria. This allows Adspert to continue adding new criteria to these ad groups.

Option 2: Modify Your Rule's Destination

If creating space within the existing ad groups isn't feasible or you prefer a different approach, consider adjusting your rule's destination:

  • Replace the destination in your rule with an ad group that already exists within your campaign.

  • Alternatively, you can select one of the available options to create a new ad group that aligns with your advertising strategy.

And that’s it! If you ever get stuck, check the Help Center or reach us via chat.
