Rules Simplified Mode: Full Walkthrough
Before you start optimizing your campaigns, go to Criterion Hub and check Rules settings for your account. This is really, really important because based on this, you can directly impact how your campaigns are set up.
I will guide you through the key features of Criterion Hub, but first, let's cover what it is and what it does.
Understanding Criterion Hub's Automation
Adspert's complementary automation called Criterion Hub continuously harvests and suggests the best criteria for your advertising accounts like keywords, essence, and other qualified criteria. All you need to do is decide whether and how to add these suggestions to your advertising campaigns.
Important note here: Criterion Hub only works if your campaigns are optimized by Adspert. So now let's look at how to set the rules and how should Adspert add criteria to your campaigns. You can do this from Criterion Hub's Rules page.
This is the default Rules Simplified Mode available for all users. Here's where you set rules on the account level. If you are on Scale or Pro plan, you can access the Advanced Mode which also lets you create rules on campaign and ad group levels. And to learn more about the Advanced Mode, check out the Help Center or just get in touch.
Available Actions in Rules Simplified Mode
Now, back to Rules Simplified Mode. Here's where you can see a list of all your connected advertising accounts and three available actions: Review, Add and Ignore. So, first, locate the account you would like to set a rule for.
Then, choose one of the three actions: Review, Add or Ignore.
Your choice applies to the entire advertising account, meaning all campaigns and all ad groups.
Default Rule Settings and Recommendations
By default, the Rule action is set to Review and I recommend you to keep it this way. This means Adspert's suggestions go to the Suggestions Review page where you can review and approve them before they are submitted to your advertising account. And remember, criteria stands for everything that can be bid on: keywords, products, categories, and so on. If you choose Add, Adspert will automatically add all suggested criteria to the relevant campaigns and ad groups.
Amazon Ads users' attention: If you choose Add or Review and you have Amazon Ads Sponsored Products campaigns, Adspert will also automatically create the matching manual campaigns as destinations whenever needed.
Sounds like a lot? Click the hand icon in the top right for on screen help anytime. And that's it for the Rules page.
