Deleting a Performance Group will also stop the optimization of all campaigns within it. Before you delete a Performance Group, you might want to move the campaigns to another Performance Group. In this way the campaigns will still be optimized and you will not lose anything. Once the Performance Group is empty, you can delete it without affecting any campaigns. Both actions are described below.
When you wish to delete a Performance Group, follow these steps:
Find the Performance Group you would like to delete. Click the “Actions” button on the right of the Performance Group. A drop-down list appears. Select “Delete Performance Group”.
2. A pop-up opens up with two options:
Option 1: Click “Delete” to delete the Performance Group. If you delete the Performance Group, its campaigns will no longer be actively optimized.
Option 2: “Move Campaigns to a different Performance Group” to move the containing campaigns to another Performance Group and continue with their optimization.
3. Choose all of your campaigns to move by clicking into the field indicated in the picture or click on every campaign individually.
4. You now have the choice to move it either to a new Performance Group for those campaigns you selected to move (you see that option on top) or move the campaigns into an existing Performance Group.
For the new Performance Group:
All Parameters of that Performance Group and all KPIs are already shown. The Performance Group automatically got the name " New Performance Group".
You indicate your choice by clicking on it and click "Next"
You will receive a summary of the Performance Group from which you have just moved the campaigns. If this group still contains other campaigns, you can now review and adjust the goals. However, in our use case, we are removing all campaigns from the Performance Group in order to subsequently delete it. Once all campaigns have been removed, you can click "Save" and continue without any further action.
5. You now have the opportunity to adjust your goal settings based on the new campaigns in your Performance Group.

Your initial Performance Group does not contain campaigns anymore and can be deleted now.
On the goals page you see now that your Performance Group does contain zero campaigns and you can move in delete it like described in Option 1 on top of the article.
