How to Use Product Ads Sync? (Amazon Ads Only)
In this guide I will explain how you can use the Product Ads Sync feature that is a part of Criterion Hub. Before I continue it is important to mention that this feature is only available to users who have at least one Amazon Sponsored Products campaign.
In this article, I will explain what the Product Ads Sync feature does and walk you through the process of keeping your Amazon Sponsored Products in a perfect sync.
Keep reading to discover how!
What is Product Ads Sync feature?
The Product Ads Sync feature keeps your Amazon Sponsored Products Auto and Manual campaigns in a perfect sync.
You only need to map out your ad group destinations according to your Amazon strategy. In other words, specify which Auto ad group should sync with each Manual ad group.
Then, Adspert takes the wheel, and automatically syncs your Auto and Manual campaigns. That’s how our advanced AI automates yet another task that you would otherwise have to do manually.
How can I map out my ad group sources and destinations?
To use the Product Ads Sync feature, you need to specify which Auto ad group should sync with each Manual ad group.
To open the Product Ads Sync feature, hover over Criterion Hub in the main navigation bar and select “Product Ads Sync” from the drop down menu.
Then view and edit the mappings for your product ads sync. Here are a few basics you should follow:
Sources can only be Sponsored Products Auto campaigns.
Destinations can only be Sponsored Products Manual campaigns.
An individual source ad group can have more than one destination. This allows you to effectively distribute your product ads to different manual ad groups based on your strategic goals.
And an individual destination ad group can be a destination for only one mapping.
Product Ads Sync Modes: Explained
The Product Ads Sync feature has two modes: Add missing and Overwrite. The modes represent what Adspert does with the Sponsored Product Ad Groups between the source and the destination. Keep reading to see what are the differences between the two.
Add Missing:
“Add missing” means that our advanced automation compares the source and destination ad groups. Then it adds anything that’s missing in the Destination Ad Group.
Our advanced AI checks the content of your source and destination ad groups and identifies any discrepancies. Then it adds products to the destination ad group that are in the source ad group but missing in the destination. This mode is especially useful when you want to make sure all your relevant products are adequately represented across ad groups.
Overwrite:
“Overwrite” mode clones the source ad group to the destination ad group. This means that the destination ad group becomes an exact replica of the source ad group. This means that all product ads present in the source ad group will be mirrored in the destination ad group. Use this more when you would like to maintain consistency across ad groups and ensure that all products receive equal exposure.
Best Practice: Use Product Ads Sync in Combination with Criterion Hub
Product Ads Sync is a standalone feature. If you want to boost your overall advertising strategy, then combine it with Criterion Hub. Here’s where we made things easy for you: Product Ads Sync is integrated in Criterion Hub. So whenever you’re working with Criterion Hub, you can adjust the Product Ads Sync settings at the same place, at the same time.
Making Configuration Choices:
Choose between the two modes, Add Missing or Overwrite. You can do this in two different places:
Product Ads Sync page
Rules page on the ad group level within the Product Ads Sync section (Enterprise plan only)
However, there is one exception when “Overwrite” is the only option. For any destination that is created by Adspert, the mode is always set to “Overwrite” and you cannot change that.
Conclusion
Product Ads Sync is your gateway to harmonizing your Sponsored Products for enhanced performance on Amazon. Forget about tedious work of matching Auto and Manual campaigns, our advanced AI does it in split seconds, 24/7.
Product Ads Sync feature can save you lots of time (and nerves). If you are looking to boost your numbers, consider using it in combination with Criterion Hub!
