If you're using Adspert on Amazon, you might wonder whether it's possible to manually add keywords or ASINs (also known as criteria) to the manual campaign that Adspert created based on your auto Sponsored Products campaign.
The answer is yes — but it requires a few extra steps.
Since Adspert doesn't currently support manual editing of criteria through its interface, these changes must be made directly in Seller Central. Here's how:
How to Add Criteria Manually
Log in to Seller Central
Open your Amazon Seller Central account.
Access the Manual Campaign Created by Adspert
Locate the manual Sponsored Products campaign that Adspert generated from your auto campaign.
Add Criteria
Within the ad group of the manual campaign, add the keywords or ASINs you want to target. Make sure to use exact and phrase match types.
Important: Mimic Adspert’s Optimization Logic
Adspert adds criteria automatically — and part of that logic includes excluding them from the original auto campaign to avoid overlap.
If you're manually adding keywords or ASINs, make sure to replicate this setup:
Set Negative Matches in the Auto Campaign
Go to the corresponding auto campaign and add the same criteria as negative exact and negative phrase matches. This ensures your manual additions don’t interfere with Adspert’s automation and performance tracking. This article is showing which process adspert follows when adding criterions.
Special Case: You're Just Getting Started
If you’re in the process of creating new campaigns and have already set up an auto Sponsored Products campaign, but Adspert hasn’t yet created the corresponding manual campaign, we recommend waiting before adding keywords or ASINs.
Once the manual campaign is created by Adspert, you can begin adding your own criteria manually. This way, you ensure your additions follow the same structure and logic Adspert uses — avoiding duplication, inconsistencies, or optimization issues down the road.
