When Are Rule Changes Applied?

Rule changes are not immediate. To see the impact of your rule changes on your suggestions, you need to give it a bit of time – up to 24 hours.

In this article, we'll explain when rule changes are applied after you create a new rule or update an existing one and how these changes affect your suggestions.

What Happens When You Create or Update a Rule:

When you create a new rule or update an existing one, here’s what you can expect in terms of your criteria suggestions:

1. No Immediate Changes:

Initially, there will be no immediate changes to your existing suggestions.

You can still access and manage your suggestions on the Suggestions Review page as you normally would.

2. Daily Review and Regeneration:

Adspert daily reviews and re-generates all suggestions, typically within a 24-hour window from when the last jobs ran.

As part of this process, Adspert re-evaluates the rules that triggered each suggestion in their current form and applies the newest changes to your suggestions.

Common Use Cases:

Here are some common scenarios you might encounter when you change your rules:

1. Changing a Rule's Action:

If you change a rule's action from "Review" to "Add," all pending suggestions associated with that rule will be re-evaluated.

This means that all suggestions will be automatically submitted to the advertising platform without requiring manual review.

2. Changing Destinations (Enterprise-Only):

If you modify the destinations from "Existing ad group" to one of the "Create" options, the destinations of the suggestions will be updated accordingly.
