You can create Amazon Sponsored Products Manual campaigns directly in Adspert, without switching to the Amazon Ads platform.

Here’s exactly how:

  1. Main navigation bar > Click “Creation

  2. Select the Amazon Ads account where you want to launch the campaign

  3. Click “Create a Sponsored Products Manual campaign”

  4. Fill in the information or select options from all three tabs: Campaign Settings, Campaign Bidding Strategy and Campaign Bid Adjustments

  5. Name your ad group

  6. Select the products you want to advertise

  7. Choose your Manual targeting type:

  8. Configure the settings for Keyword targeting or Product targeting.

See below exact instructions on how to set both targeting options in detail, and how to finish creating a Sponsored Products Manual campaign.

Keep in mind: you can't mix keyword and product targeting in the same ad group. That's an Amazon requirement.

If you want to use both targeting types, create two separate Sponsored Products Manual campaigns: one with keyword targeting and one with product targeting. You can also only add one ad group during creation, which also mirrors how Amazon handles it.

Keep reading to learn more about both available targeting options and how to set them up.

Sponsored Product Manual Campaign: Keyword Targeting

After selecting keyword targeting, you see two tabs at the top “Suggested” and “Enter List”.

"Suggested" Tab

In the “Suggested” tab, you see:

  • Filters to narrow suggestions by keyword match type: Broad, Exact, or Phrase

  • Sort options: by clicks or conversions

  • Keyword groups: related keywords are grouped together

  • Suggested keyword list with IS and IR metrics under each keyword:

    • IS (Impression Share): estimated percentage of available impressions a keyword could capture

    • IR (Impression Rank): how competitive a keyword is based on search volume and advertiser competition

From the Keyword list (left side), select the keywords you'd like to target. Add keywords one by one or all at once.

Then check the suggested bids (right side). Keep or edit the suggested bid.

Changed your mind about a keyword? Click red X to remove it from the list.

Prefer to use your own list? Switch to the “Enter List” tab from the top.

"Enter List" Tab

  1. Select keyword match type: Broad, Exact or Phrase

  2. Enter keywords manually - one per line.

  3. Check the suggested bids (right side). Keep or edit the suggested bid.

Negative Keyword targeting

You can also add negative keyword targeting:

  1. Select keyword match type: Exact or Phrase match

  2. Enter keywords separated by a new line

Next, let me show you how to set up Product targeting for your Sponsored Products Manual campaign.

Sponsored Product Manual Campaign: Product Targeting

If you choose product targeting, you can either target product categories or individual products.

That’s why there are two tabs at the top and you need to select one:

"Categories" Tab

  1. See suggested categories based on your products (left side)

  2. Under each category there's an approximate number of products in each category

  3. Select a category and set your bid (right side)

"Individual products" Tab

Individual product targeting means you are targeting specific ASINs (other sellers' products). Here's how to set it up:

  1. Review the suggested individual products list (left side). Or select “Enter list” and manually enter ASINs of the products you'd like to target

  2. After you've selected products, set the bids (right side).

Negative Product targeting

Just like with keywords you can also add negative product targeting.

You can exclude entire brands by brand name, or exclude specific products by ASINs.

Click "Exclude" to submit your negative keywords or products.

Last Steps: Submit Campaign

Click "Next" to submit your new Sponsored Products Manual campaign.

Once submitted, the campaign appears in the “Queue” tab. Newly created Amazon Ads Sponsored Products Manual campaigns typically go live in about 2 minutes.

For full transparency, all campaign creation details are logged under: Reports > Logs > Other Logs > Create Campaigns.

Conclusion

After submitting your campaign, check the Queue tab to confirm it was created successfully.

You can review all creation details at any time under Reports > Logs > Other Logs > Create Campaigns.
