There are two goals available to you if you opted for a Click Optimization strategy:
1. Cost Per Month
Select “cost per month” if you want to spend a certain amount (on average) over a 30-day period.
Please be aware that Adspert does not define a 30-day period as a calendar month, but rather as 30 total days. Furthermore, Adspert will automatically pace your spending budget based on performance. In other words, Adspert will spend more of your budget on well-performing days and less on underperforming days.
Be sure to set your advertising platform budget at least 20% higher than your goal in Adspert for the best results.
If you want to decrease your budget, we strongly recommend changing your goal in Adspert rather than changing your budget on the advertising platform directly. Decreasing your budget on the advertising platform would lead to low coverage, which can affect optimization.
Occasionally, Adspert won’t be able to reach your goal. This could be for a number of reasons, including:
- Low budget: Setting an advertising platform budget that’s too low can hold Adspert back from reaching your goal. If this is the case, then you simply need to increase your budget to allow Adspert to reach the goal. Additionally, Adspert won’t spend more than your available budget and will automatically throttle bidding if the goal you’ve set is higher than your budget on the corresponding advertising platform. This is done to ensure that your budget is spent in the most efficient way possible.
- You’re already ranking first for the targeted keywords: If you’re already ranking top for your targeted keywords, there’s not much else that can be done! In this case, we recommend extending your targeting range. For example, by adding new keywords you can reach new audiences, which in turn would lead to more conversions and thus more profit.
2. Cost Per Click (Eff. CPC)
You can target a specific price per click that you’re willing to pay by choosing the eff.cpc goal. Bear in mind that if your competitors increase their bid prices, then you’ll receive fewer clicks for the same price. In the same way, you’ll receive more clicks for the same price if your competitors lower their bids.
